This is a picture of moss. The green moss plant that is predominant which you "see" is the gametophyte generation - meaning all of the cells are haploid(n). The predominant generation for most other plants is the sporophyte generation which means all of the cells are diploid(2n). The small stalk that is sticking up out of the plant is the moss sporophyte generation.
